Three Ways to Measure His Ring Size

Option 1

Figuring out his size using the string method is a great option if you are trying to keep it a secret from him. If you are sneaky enough you can use this method while he is sleeping.

What You'll Need

  • For this method, you would need a string and a ruler.

Directions

Here are simple steps to measure your ring size using a string and a ruler:

  1. Cut a String: Take a piece of string, about 6 inches long.
  2. Wrap the String: Wrap the string around the base of your finger. Ensure it is snug but not too tight.
  3. Mark the String: Use a pen to mark where the end of the string meets the rest of the string.
  4. Measure the String: Lay the string flat and measure the length from the starting point to the mark with a ruler in millimeters (mm).
  5. Find Ring Size: Use a ring size chart to convert the measurement in millimeters to your ring size.
